Naming ceremony for oil tanker No.H1027

On the morning of March 9th, 2010, the naming ceremony for oil tanker No.H1027 was held in the second phase wharf of Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries Co. (hereinafter referred to as “RSHI”). Mr. Chen Xu, president of CEIEC; Mr. Wang Lianxiang,vice president of CEIEC; Mr. Song Jian,vice president of CEIEC; concerning members from CEIEC ship business department and CEIEC shandong company as well as other leaders attended the ceremony and cut the ribbons.

This oil tanker owned by Frontline Management AS, the largest oil tanker owner in the world, was named “EVERBRIGHT”. It is the first of the two Suezmax oil tankers exported by CEIEC for RSHI after signing the contract between the two parties. With a length of 274 meters, a breadth of 48 meters, a depth of 23.7 meters and design draught of 16 meters, “EVERBRIGHT” is independently developed by RSHI and supervised and certificated by DNV.

This contract has come into effect since June 2008, when the global ship market was confronted with the international financial crisis. However, with the joint efforts of ship business department of CEIEC, RSHI, the ship owner and so on, the sea trial of “EVERBRIGHT” inspected and accepted by both DNV and the ship owner before the 2010 spring festival was a success.
