Qianhaiwan Project Started up

On January 18th, 2010, CEIEC (Shenzhen) and China Merchants Maritime Logistics (Shenzhen), which belongs to China Merchants Group, signed the agreement in Shenzhen to officially start the Qianhaiwan International Comprehensive Logistics Center of Electronic Products project (“Qianhaiwan project” for short).

Mr. Li Jinghe, Vice-President of board and General Manager of CEIEC (Shenzhen), and Mr. Yu Shixin, General Manager of Merchants Maritime Logistics (Shenzhen), signed the agreement in the signing ceremony which was attended by the leaders from CEC Group, China Merchants Group and CEIEC headquarter as well as government officials from Shenzhen Customs District and Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

As the start-up region of “Shenzhen-Hongkong Demonstrative Region of Comprehensive Corporation for Service Industry”, which was authorized in 2008, tested and accepted by the state council in July, 2009, Qianhaiwan free trade port has been well developed. Up to now, many world famous logistics companies and large–scaled end users have set offices in Qianhaiwan logistics park. Combining the functions of releasing information, trading, logistics and distribution, the electronics logistics center would absolutely contribute to building a world famous modernized logistics and trading center for consuming electronic products, parts and components. 500 million RMB has been invested in the first phase of the project. The investment was used to build trading center, distribution center for imported products, delivery center for exported products, off-board processing center, off-board inspection and maintenance center as well as exhibition and selling center. Great effort was made to develop a first-class platform for China’s electronic industry to better communicate with other parts of the world, and the Imp &Exp turnover is estimated to be 1 billion USD when the project was completed.

Mr. Liu Liehong, president of CEC group, said in the signing ceremony that CEIEC was the main force of CEC Group in areas of electronics trading and engineering project. He also highly commended the strong overall competitiveness, rich marketing experience and good customer resources of CEIEC (Shenzhen), which was accumulated in 30 years electronics trading history in Pearl River Delta. The start-up of Qianhaiwan project was regarded as a great achievement since the frame agreement for strategic cooperation between CEC Group and Shenzhen government.
